Happy New Year from Alumni House!

It's still pretty quiet on campus today -- students don't start moving back into residence until Sunday, Jan. 6. If my own first-year daughter is any example, they're looking forward to it. That's not to say that the holidays with mom and dad aren't terrific, but first-year students become a pretty close-knit group from September to December and they typically miss each other over those three weeks off.

The folks working in Alumni House and the rest of Advancement also had a wonderful Christmas break and are full of energy (some of us anyway) this week getting back to work. In Alumni Affairs we're already well into planning Homecoming 2008 and working with our chapters to help with upcoming events. We're also putting together the winter issue of AlumniNews and look forward to sharing lots of great Xaverian stories with you.

May you and yours have a joyful and prosperous New Year!
